Performer rushed to hospital after reporting possible drowning at Universal Studios Hollywood

UNIVERSAL CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A Universal Studios Hollywood performer has been rushed to hospital after reports of possible drowning Monday afternoon.

According to a spokesman for Universal Studios Hollywood, it happened during an afternoon performance. The Los Angeles County Fire Department said the man required CPR.

“Details around the event are being reviewed. As always, safety is our top priority in our day-to-day operations,” said the spokesperson.

A witness who spoke to Eyewitness News said it all took place during a WaterWorld performance. He said the performer was standing on one of the towers and fell into the water as part of the act.

The witness told ABC7 that the other workers noticed he was missing and went into the water to pull him up.

In a video obtained by Eyewitness News, several people can be seen pulling the artist into a behind-the-scenes area.

The witness said the show was suddenly canceled and guests were escorted out.

The condition of the artist is still unknown.
